Can you suggest a reliable yet inexpensive laptop internal HDD + a way to move all my files? - largest internal laptop hdd
My laptop has the following problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxId_NmNs ...
And I try to solve it by buying a new hard drive.
I looked around the market and found several hard drives, but the brand / model you think is the most reliable? I am looking for a hard disk of 320 GB at 7,200 rpm, optionally with 60GBP.
I have a CD called Seagate Momentus would be perfect for me, but no reviews of it yet.
I also need a way to migrate all my files including the operating system from the old disk to the new one. How can I do? I have no shops where I could use to my old record. So it is a way to migrate all my files directly from one hard disk to another, for example, the new hard drive put in a dock?

Hello
Try starting in Safe Mode by pressing F8 before the Windows logo.
When in this mode of dealing with the Last Known Good Configuration and see if it works.
If not try to review only booting in safe mode and see if Windows Installer is basically OK.
If you do not go there, then it is probably a driver that is loaded and the cause of the problem.
When you restore Windows PC back to factory settings with hard disk or partition?
If you (want to follow the path of a new hard drive what the problem may be!) And then the easier it is to buy the new drive and maintain external 2.5 "USB caddy for the reader to share a very cheap, less than 10 pounds.
Then, create a disk image of your existing drive on the new disc then swap over.
To create the image that you need a program like Acronis True Image or similar.
I have not seen reviews of this device itself, but Seagate is a well known brand and should notno cause for concern.

NOTE: I copied and pasted this forum
"I had the same problem. Restart your computer and start the question of which operating system, select" Windows 7, and press F8. Then, start with low-resolution mode.
I installed Windows XP, so I do not know if it will have the same opportunity when 7 is the only operating system on your computer.
I still can not use even a higher resolution than 640x480, without a black screen up with a thin blue line, but at least it starts. "
That's what I found so far. Something has gone wrong with the video settings.
